Christmas 2011.

Happy Birthday Jesus...The one true God that has sent you....for we are in desperate need of a savior....he provided. I can't imagine that sacrifice. I am so grateful of his ultimate gift. May God have the Glory....who gives all.
May you all receive God's love and on this Holy day see His glory. Merry Christmas!!

Christmas eve.

The kids got a bag full of oatmeal and sparkles from school that we were suppose to sprinkle on Christmas eve for the reindeer to find our house and to give them a little snack. While they were sprinkling it Isabelle said I don't think Santa comes to my house so it is still a mystery at our house.

Christmas cookies.

We had a busy day getting our Christmas goodies all ready. The kids mostly enjoyed cutting out the cookies. We shared some of our goodies with some of the elderly in town. The kids were so proud that they made the goodies and that they got to share them with others. Isabelle did say I hope we are saving some for us and of course we did.

Daddy Junior.

Gidder is ready to go to work with his Dad. He has gotten a love for only John Deere tractors and farming. Gidder always say's he want's to drive his John Deere like his Daddy.

Charlie Brown's Christmas.

The kids had some friends over and laid in a circle and read charlie Brown's Christmas.
This book was sent to them by their Grandma and papa from Michigan..it has been their favorite Christmas book this year....Thank you Grandma and papa.

Advent Manger.

The kids have been doing an advent manger that they got from Church. There is a message every day about the sticker they get to put on. We have all really enjoyed doing this. The kids have been understanding the story so much better this year.

Dicken"s Festival.

We made it to the Dickens festival this past weekend. It was so beautiful to walk downtown and enjoy the vendors.

We took our friend Jackson and we rode the horse carriage and enjoyed all the Christmas decorations. We were able to watch the parade outside this year. It was a beautiful night. The kids got a blue candy cane..love the blue mouths.

Our Christmas tree.

Gideon liked to put all his ornaments in the middle of the tress where we couldn't see them.
Gideon's favorite ornament is his John Deere tractor from Nana.
We strung our popcorn...we were all not feeling well so it wasn't as enjoyable as usual.

Isabelle and Gideon had alot of fun decorating the tree this year. It was so much fun for me to watch. They talked about every ornament they put on the tree and every ornament has a story. It was a very wonderful night.

Thanksgiving 2011.

Yes,I know it is Dec 11 and I am Finally posting our Thanksgiving. It has been a crazy last couple of weeks. We were so sick this past month and trying to get ready for all the holidays and kids birthday's. We had a wonderful thanksgiving. The kids made their turkeys and listed what they were thankful for. We had a full house with two families that didn't have family around here. This is the first year since we have moved that I felt OK being away from home and celebrating a holiday. God has given me the Grace to go forward and made me realize our holidays will never be the same as they once were but he has Blessed us with new traditions with others that are in our same situation. Before our dinner Jason read Psalm 100. We have so much to be thankful for. The one thing I am so thankful for is God's unconditional love and his faithfulness. It has been a long road of healing for me and alot of hard lessons these last couple of years but God has clearly showed his love and I know very clearly we have never been alone...he has been faithful in all his promises...he has provided us with all our needs !!!

First day of school 2011.

Isabelle was very excited for school to come again this year.
Gideon was so excited to go this year...it was hard for him last year bringing Isabelle to school and coming home with me.
Their cousin Haley was here on their first day of school...she walked down to school with us and got to see their class room. They both had a first good day. It was a very emotional day for me. My little baby going to school and when I brought him he says " bye mom have a good day". My sister and her family left back for Michigan too.

Camping at Totten Trail 2011.

We went camping right on the lake. It was such a beautiful spot.

The kids enjoyed fishing right on shore. They caught a couple small fish and a big carp.

We took Jason's new boat out. The kids loved it. they helped daddy drive,we did some fishing, and all jumped off and did some swimming.

We enjoyed alot of time and the beach.

Isabelle was searching for rocks. It was a very nice camping trip. The kids had so much fun.It was so nice to have family time. Our trip did end sooner than we thought. Sunday night we had a very bad storm with high winds and heavy rainfall. The tent caved in and we all got soaked. We quickly got the kids out and went home. The next morning we went back to see the damages. Both of our tents were broken and all of our stuff was completely wet. Sadly we had to pack up two days early. I think it is a trip we wouldn't ever forget.

We went camping in our backyard for the 4th of July weekend.
Gideon loved helping daddy build a fire.

The kids really enjoyed sitting by the fire.

We enjoyed some smores.

The kids loved the fire works this year. It was a fun weekend even though we were only in the backyard. When we were packing up all of our stuff Isabelle thanked us for taking them camping and said we sure did have a nice camp site.
