6th Month

It has been 6 months here in north dakota. We have had another busy month. Jason's parents came to visit which was such a nice surprise. It was hard to see them go and an adjustment. We haven't had a whole lot of family time since Jason has started to work Saturdays. The kids and I sure miss him. It always makes me smile on Sunday morning when the kids get up and see their daddy in bed, They get very excited and say"oh daddy's home. We have made some changes this month. Jason has been looking for another job with some benefits and less hours. As he has been doing that I went looking too since we would of took a big pay cut. Jason found a couple of jobs that looked good, when his boss found out he was offering him more money, insurance, and a chance to get his CDL and an opportunity driving the pump truck. Well when all this was happening I found a job at the hospital with full benefits for the family. I would be cleaning about 4 hrs a night. This has been a very hard decision since either way we went it still wouldn't change that we don't have any family time at night. After talking to Jason's boss he said that he couldn't compete with the hospital insurance but he would pay for our daycare and give Jason some other benefits. After a couple of days of praying we decided that Jason will stay at Winn and I will take the job at the hospital for the insurance and to get a break from the kids. After hours of being on the phone for daycare I found a couple I was interested in. The kids and I went to check them out and we found the perfect one for them. It is a group daycare that she does in a building. It is set up like a little school. The kids have a schedule from 6:00am to 9:00 pm. This woman is amazing, after visiting with her and understanding that she does this for the ministry,I knew this was all lead by God. After leaving there I just sat in the driveway cring and thanking God for such a blessing for my kids, and it just amazes me how he works out all the pieces while I can't hardly sleep worry about it. I think it will be a good change. I will still spend all day with the kids, the kids will get to play and learn in a different environment for about 2-3 a day, and Jason and I will still be able to spend our nights together.
Isabelle is been quite the helper this month. We have been doing some baking and she gets so excited when she can eat it says "mom we made cookies,MM..they are good". She also has been helping discipline Gideon. She already has the mom in her!! I just love to wash here play with her dolls. She takes very good care of them. She talks to them so nice, feeds them, they seem to get hurt alot and she say"oh it is ok, I kiss it..all better. We have also been working on her letters, colors, numbers, and shapes. She has been doing so well with them. We also read bible stories everyday before nap time and this month after one of our stories she said" lets praise God Mom" I just started cring, Isabelle said"Mom no cry we just thank God now". That was the biggest reward yet!
Gideon has been quite the little stinker!! He is getting into everything. He wants to know how everything works!! He has learned to climb on everything in our house including on counters. He his favorite toy has been his little people's train. Every Friday when the garbage truck comes we have watch him. Gideon loves the trucks. My favorite lately is when he wakes up he says"mom I woke up,kiss now". He is such a little sweetheart. He is such a character!! He comes up with something new daily and makes us laugh.
It has been another great month. God has been good!! He continues to bless us and keeps guiding us here in north dakota. It amazes me how he works out all the pieces in our life no matter what the circumstances are. He is always faithful. I have learned nothing is too big for him!! We love and miss you all!!

Isabelle has been on her bike alot this summer. She is doing so good on it. It has been such a fun summer with the kids. They have been exploring new things. I will be very sad when we can't go and have our lunches out on the porch.

Pa and Grandma Schut visiting.

We spent two morning exploring the badlands with Pa and Grandma.
We took them to one of our parks. Gideon sure enjoyed swinging with Pa and Grandma.

Isabelle got to go explore on top of the rocks with pa.

Isabelle was giving Grandma some flowers and grass.

Gideon got to snuggle with Grandma Lot's!!
We had a very nice surprise, we didn't think we were going to see Pa and Grandma until next summer. They were able to stay with us for a couple of days. It was so nice spending time with you and to show you somethings of our life with you. The kids loved having their grandparents here. The morning you left both kids asked "we play with pa and grandma now". We all enjoyed your visit and it was hard to see you go. Thank you very much for coming out to see us. We love you!!

5th month

It has been five months here in north dakota. Time is just flying. This past month has been an another adjustment, as we were with our family for a week and we were all together as a family for a week and we had to get back in the swing of things again. It also has been so hard to be away from my Grandma. I have been able to talk to her on the phone but it is just not the same as giving her a big hug and seeing her beautiful smile. As many of you know my grandma has been very special to me. She holds a big place in my heart!! My grandma has always been so giving to others and of herself. She always put others needs before herself. She always made be feel so special and so loved. Her family was so important to her and was so very proud of her family. I have learned about unconditional love, being a wife and mother, being a servant for God all from my grandmother. She has always has a strong faith. I miss and love her very much. It is so hard to see your love one change in seconds but we trust God that it will all work out in his plan. I just pray that God will bless her during this time.
We have been pretty busy this month. Jason is working alot. We just found out that he will be working on Saturday starting after labor day. We are not to happy about it since we don't get any family time during the week. It will only be until November. I have been doing a little cleaning. I also started watching a four month old baby. It has been nice having a little more to do and the kids just love. My little Belle has became quite the little miss mother hen. She is very helpful and she gets very upset when the baby has to go home. Gidder has done well with the baby too. He will sit really close to her and say " hi baby". It is just too cute!!
Isabelle this month has gotten into strawberry short cake alot. She wants to watch her movie every day. She also has been really into her babies. She now has to sleep with them and take them everywhere. I love it when it is bedtime and she says's " mom baby has to lay down now". She always makes sure they eat and now they are having dirty diapers. "oh mom baby is stinky". She also just loves her purses. If we forget her purse we have to go back and get it or she gets very upset. I just love her imagination.
Gidder is just growing up so fast. I have been enjoying the last couple of weeks, he has been wanting to cuddle more and give his mommy more kisses. I see the boy in him more and more everyday. That kid has got some high energy!! He has learned how to climb up on my high bed,he has gotten some BO Bo's. It is so different than Belle, he has no fear and he get's into everything. My favorite phase has been "NO DONT". He says it in a very Stern voice.
It has been a busy and emotional month but God has been given us so much of his strengh and his peace and we are very blessed for that. We love all of you and miss you very much!!
